Car wash, in the rain?

Well, not everyone chooses to get a car wash on a rainy day. Even the man at the 7Eleven laughed when I went to pay for my car wash. However, let me explain!

Over the past month, we’ve had an abundance of pollen from the new spring trees. It sticks to your car like glue. Then, there was the dust from the Canadian wildfires. And this morning, when I woke up, it was drizzling with that dreaded thin London rain. The combination of these factors resulted in a slimy green layer forming on my car that needed to be washed away.

Since this layer had softened up with the light rain, I thought it would be a good idea to wash the car. Now, three days later, its still raining, my car is still wet, but it’s nice and clean.

So, please, stop laughing at me!
